Our Story

Home Team Box started with a simple idea and a kid who loved the Royals.

In 2023, we were planning a visit to a friend whose son was a big Kansas City Royals fan. Instead of showing up empty-handed, we dug into our collections and put together a custom pack of cards – only current stars, no benchwarmers – the kind of athletes he actually watched and cheered for. When he opened it, he exclaimed, “These are the best packs I’ve ever opened!”

That moment stuck with us.

Baseball has always been more than just a game. It’s how we learned to compete, how we made friends, and how we understood numbers, arguments, and stories. Baseball cards were right there with us the whole way – sorted, traded, and stacked into memories.

Home Team Box was built to share that feeling. To deliver that spark of excitement when you open a pack and it feels like it was made just for you. Our mission is simple: to bring our love of the game to every box, and to make sure they’re the best you’ve ever opened.

Our team is made up of lifelong baseball fans. We remember our first cards, our first games and we’ve passed down our passion for the game to our loved ones. We debate things like bWAR vs. fWAR, and we have strong opinions about the all-time greatest players. Baseball is a part of who we are and we’re here to share our passion with you.
